Hello Wildcat Family!
My name is Brittany Bynum. I earned my B.S. degree in Human Performance and Wellness at St- Augustine's University. I'm orginally from Charlotte, NC but I reside in Raleigh, NC. Before becoming an Instructional Assistant, I worked at Bright Horizons where I was the lead Two's teacher and a Kindergarten Prep Teacher. My passion is helping children academically which is why I choose to become a Instructional Assistant. I'm excited that I can be a part of the students learning journey at Walnut Creek Elementary. 
I have a 3 year old active little boy name Peyton and he is my sunshine on a cloudy day. I enjoy being a mother, especially his mother!!

Hello parents and students!  I am Mr. Marcus Bynum and I am so excited to be a part of the Walnut Creek family. I was born and raised here in Raleigh, I am very familiar with the Wake County Public School System having received my elementary through high school education through it. In 2012, I received my BA in Psychology with a minor in Child Development and Family Relations from the sloping hills and verdant green of North Carolina Central University. I am currently working towards a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling. I am a fan of the Baltimore Ravens, Duke Blue Devils, and the returning Charlotte Hornets. I look forward to being a part of the process of educating the minds of the future leaders of tomorrow.

Hello students and parents! My name is Krista Deloatch and this is my first year at Walnut Creek Elementary as an Instructional Assistant. I am a native of Raleigh, NC. In 2012, I obtained my Bachelors Degree in Liberal Studies Pre-law from North Carolina A&T State University. I am currently at North Carolina Central University working on my second Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. In my spare time, my hobbies are baking, reading, shopping and singing. This year I am honored to serve as the Recess Coach for Walnut Creek. I am a graduate of North Carolina State University with a discipline in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management. With a passion for fitness and a background to serve, I am genuinely excited about the new opportunity to build relationships with all students on and off the playground. Hi! My name is LaTeesha Thorpe, and I am from a small town in Chatham County, North Carolina. I moved to Raleigh in June 2012, when I started school at North Carolina State University. I am currently finishing my degree at Shaw University. I have one son who is 3-years old, and my husband and I will be welcoming another baby boy this summer! I love children, and being the second oldest of 9 boys and 4 girls, I’ve been around them all of my life. I love to go to the beach with my family, complete do-it-yourself projects, and making learning fun for the students I work with. I am ecstatic to be a part of the Walnut Creek family, and I hope to show all of my students how fun learning can be!

Hello, my name is Deborah “Dee” Wiggins.  I am a graduate of Meredith College in 1995 with a BA in Psychology.  I have worked with children/adolescents/adults with Mental Health for over 19 years.  I love the field of mental health and enjoy working with children and their families.  This is my second time working in the Wake County School System. My first experience working in the classroom was in Special Programs as a one on one for a Cross Categorical K-1st grade class.  My second experience was as the Behavioral Support Teacher as well as Curriculum Assistance Teacher for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.  I truly enjoy working with children and assisting them in developing their academic  and social skills.  I am excited to be a part of the Wildcat Pride here at Walnut Creek.
