Ms. Kari Stiffler

Hello! My name is Kari Stiffler. I have recently graduated from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a bachelor’s degree in Professions in Deafness. I am excited to jump-start my career here at Walnut Creek Elementary school.
I was born and raised in Albany, New York. I originally went to college to become a teacher but quickly realized my true passion was American Sign Language. Shortly after my first ASL class, I changed my major to pursue a career as an ASL interpreter.  I received an Associates degree in Educational Interpreting from Mohawk Valley Community College in Utica, NY. I then continued my education at UNC- Greensboro where I would fall more in love with the career choice I made.
I currently live in Raleigh, NC with my big black lab Sammy Girl. She loves to play fetch, chase squirrels and sleep. In my free time, I love to scrapbook, run and dance! I look forward to each and everyday here at Walnut Creek Elementary.
GO WILDCATS!
