Ms. Roxana Samuels-Kincy
Greetings! Saludos! I am originally from Costa Rica a small but beautiful country in Central America very well known for beautiful beaches, volcanoes, and rain forests .I can speak English, Spanish, and Creole English which has been carried on in my family from my great grandparents who migrated to Costa Rica from the West Indies in the 1870’s. I earned two bachelor degrees in my home country; Business Administration and Education with a teaching major in Foreign Language Instruction (English).I have taught in Costa Rica ,Wake county and Johnston county schools. I am married and have a beautiful baby girl. I enjoy spending time with my family, exercising, entertaining friends, watching movies, reading, dancing, and traveling.
I am very excited about working at Walnut Creek because I have the opportunity to be a part of a team that is building up a new educational community. I also enjoy working with the LEP/ESL population at the school .It is very important to me to inspire them to continue to embrace their culture and native language while they also achieve academic success in the school.
I wish all Wildcats a wonderful school year!
A todos les deseo un gran año escolar!
