Ms. Jocelyn Ruffin

Welcome to PreK at Oak Grove!

This is my third year at Oak Grove Elementary as Pre-K teacher of the Structured Teaching program that began January 2015. I am a native of Eastern North Carolina, where I attended East Carolina University to obtain my undergraduate degree in Child Development & Family Relations and post baccalaureate in Teaching Preparation. I’ve worked in various settings firstly as a Child Life Specialist and Early Interventionist, providing psycho-social, procedural, and developmental support to children faced with medical special needs; then shifted to teach children in Developmental Day and Separate (Autism) settings. I obtained my Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education and am currently pursuing my Doctorate in Special Education. I take pride in being an educator for 13 years and I look forward to continue growing with the profession as well as being a member of the Oak Grove team!
