Ms. Brown
Welcome to my world of heroes! My name is E. Denise Brown. I am the Teacher in Room 118, where I spend every day exploring the world through the eyes of children who have a wonderfully unique view on life. They bring me much joy!
I studied at James Madison University where I obtained a degree in Speech Pathology and did graduate work in Early Childhood Education. For 11 years I served as a public school Speech Therapist in Frederick County, Virginia, and more recently for 2 years as a Teacher Assistant right here at Lead Mine. Although I grew up in Virginia, Raleigh has always been a special place for me, as I spent much of my childhood visiting extended family here. I am happy to call Raleigh my home. I love people and animals of all kinds. At home I enjoy living with a menagerie from the mammal, reptile and fish worlds! I also love the art of pottery.
