Are you interested in a career in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering or Landscaping?
ACE Mentor Program is a free national program that is open to any high school student who has the curiosity and drive to learn about a career in design and construction — from contracting and engineering to architecture and landscaping.
Led by mentors. Driven by students.
As a participant, students will join a team of other students led by adult mentors who are practicing industry professionals. ACE isn’t about merely describing specific professions; it’s about immersing students in the profession by engaging students in actual building projects. These can range from new schools and mixed-use developments to amphitheaters and temporary housing for movie stars on location.
What to expect.
Students will visit professional offices, job sites and other relevant locations. Students will discuss the same issues, and perform the same tasks, as if they worked in the industry. ACE gives students a practical hands-on view of how abstract concepts get transformed into the buildings that make up our everyday reality. If you are interested, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Go to www.acementor.org. Click on STUDENTS and watch the video.
Step 2: If interested, register to attend an informational meeting by clicking on:
STUDENTS → REGISTRATION → NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION/RETURNING STUDENT
Step 3: Attend the ACE Mentor Orientation Meeting for all Wake County High School Students. Locations will vary.
