After graduating from North Carolina State University with a BA in Speech Communication, I became a business owner for many years. In 2006 I joined the staff at Washington and was so impressed with the school, the dedicated staff and the opportunity to participate in the education of our students that I have decided to remain. I enjoy gardening in the warmer months and the theater.
I grew up in Weston, CT. I was recruited by Miami University (Ohio) to participate on the Varsity Swim Team and graduated with a BA in Education (K-8). I worked until having my first child and decided to become a stay-at-home mom. After moving to Cary from Chicago in 1997, three of our five children were fortunate to attend Washington Elementary where I volunteered in numerous activities. I really missed all that Washington had to offer when my youngest child graduated to attend Middle School. I was blessed with the opportunity to return to Washington. I have worked the last 3 years as a Teacher Assistant(T.A.)with Ms. Hayes after initially working as a Special Ed. T.A. for my first 2 years. I am very excited to have the opportunity to team with Ms. Conlon this year to enrich each student's academic and life achievements.
