    This week in ELA students will be finishing up their essays on Frederick Douglass.  At the end of the week students will begin their Children's Storybook on the life of Frederick Douglass.  It will be due in April.  Have a Wonderful Track Out!

    This week in ELA students will be creating a four paragraph essay on Frederick Douglass.  The prompt is in the workbook.  The final typed copy will be due Friday, March 22nd.

    This week in Language Arts students will be continuing their study of the life of Frederick Douglass.   Students will create a paragraph in class on Frederick Douglass that needs to be completed for homework and turned in by Friday.  The mid-unit assessment will be given next week.

    This week in language arts students will finish reading and analyzing the Commonwealth Club Address by Cesar Chavez.  The final assessment will be on Wednesday and Thursday.  For homework students should read independently.

    This week in Language Arts students will continue their novel study of Lyddie.  Students will create a four paragraph argumentative essay on whether or not Lyddie should sign the petition.  The essay is due Friday, November 16.  The graphic organizer for this assignment  is on page 94 in the workbook.

    This week in ELA students will continue their novel study of Lyddie.  Students will read the novel in class and complete the  Reader's Notes for homework.   Chapters 14-18 are due on Friday.  Students will create an argumentative essay in class.  For further understanding and enrichment the novel can be found online at Bookbuilders.

    Welcome Back!!!  I hope everyone had a wonderful track out.  This week in Language Arts students are going to begin Lyddie, a novel by Katherine Paterson.  We will read the book aloud in class and students will take reader's notes and analyze how the setting, character and plot interact.

    This week in Language Arts students will be creating a two person poem based on the novel study A Long Walk to Water.  Students may need to work on missing assignments at home that are due before Friday.  Have a wonderful and safe track-out!!!!
