Visual Arts:
Students interested in priority placement in Visual Art Classes - Portfolio Placement Application. DUE April 27th, 2018.
Modern Dance:
Dancers who have taken multiple years of dance in public school are encouraged to attend the Intermediate Placement Class Audition. Date TBA. Email Ms. Hallie Hoy at hhoy@wcpss.net if you have any questions.

Mr. Davis was born and raised in the rural community of Cokesbury, just outside of Henderson NC. He attended Appalachian State University as a North Carolina Teaching Fellows where he graduated with honors, achieving a B.S. in Art Education. His artistic interest and focus of study were in drawing and painting. He has been teaching Visual Arts here at Millbrook since 2009 and has experience teaching Beginner Art classes through Advanced and AP Art classes and Visual Arts classes for our IB Diploma Program.

Eddie Adams

Eddie Adams, a native of Snow Hill, NC, is a graduate of Appalachian State University in Boone, NC where he obtained degrees in Music Education and Music Performance. His primary teachers were Dr. Stephen Hopkins (conducting) and Dr. Joseph Amaya (voice). Mr. Adams completed a Masters Degree in Choral Conducting at East Carolina University under the tutelage of Dr. Dan Bara (conducting) and Dr. Louise Toppin (voice) Mr. Adams currently serves as the director of choral activities at Millbrook High School in Raleigh where he conducts the school’s four choirs, prepares the vocalists for the annual spring musical, teaches AP Music Theory, and facilitates the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program for music. In addition to working at Millbrook H.S., he is the director of music at St. Giles Presbyterian Church in Raleigh, NC. Mr. Adams is also an active clinician, having worked with choirs throughout North Carolina. He is a member of the Music Educators of North Carolina and the American Choral Directors Association.

Jan Johnston

Ms. Johnston grew up in Raleigh, NC and taught in local high schools and middle schools until moving to VA to pursue a Master’s degree. While at VCU she worked with student teachers and as a project manager on an arts and assessment grant based in Doha, Qatar, where she still teaches in the summer. Ms. Johnston’s favorite media are watercolor, batik and mixed media. She loves to travel, enjoys sports (GO PACK!) and is very excited to be part of the faculty here at Millbrook High School!

Ms. Moody was born in Raleigh. She graduated from Saint Mary’s High School and Meredith College. She has taught in Wake County for 5 years, 3 of those years working at Cary High School. She is a local artist and enjoys working with students of all ages. Her true artistic passion is for drawing and painting, and teaching others how to enjoy life through Art.
