Originally from St. Louis Mo, I graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a BA in English. My husband and I enjoyed living on the west coast in Portland, OR before moving to Asheville, NC where I received my teaching certificate at the University of North Carolina-Asheville. I am an avid reader and outdoors person and travel often to the mountains, the beach and around the U.S. to see family and friends. North Carolina has been home now for 10 years and teaching here at Millbrook has been a wonderful second career. We have the best teachers and the best students and I look forward to serving this community in the future.

Although I was born in the most southern point of the United States (Key West, Florida), I spent the majority of my life growing up in the mountains of North Carolina. From a young age, I knew that teaching was my passion, so I eventually pursued a teaching degree from East Carolina University. I am currently in my seventh year of education and love what I do. I am an avid reader, runner, and writer.
