Cynthia Sacchitello is starting her 18th year in education. She is a graduate of UNCG with a double major in Education and History. She has enjoyed teaching 3rd and 2nd grade as well as Kindergarten; but now she has entered the Fabulous world of First Grade! In her spare time she enjoys traveling the country and spending time with her husband Mike and their dog JR.

It is a privilege and honor to be teaching 1st grade at Zebulon Elementary School.  It is my goal to meet every student where they are and move them onward and upward not just academically but behaviorally and emotionally as well.

This my 1st year at ZES but my 26th year teaching.  I am a graduate of Liberty University and then went to ECU for my Masters in Reading Education.  I have a K-12 Reading Certification and am Master Literacy Trained in NC.  I also have my National Board Certification in Early Childhood.

I love teaching 1st grade and can’t see myself doing anything else.  I enjoy seeing “the lightbulb” come on in each student and burn brighter and brighter every day.

I am a husband to Elaine and a dad to Giada and Levi.  I enjoy spending time with my family and doing things together.  I am also involved with the youth at my church and serve on some local boards in Wilson, where I reside.

  • My name is Brittany Kennon and this will be my first year teaching in my own classroom and I couldn’t be more excited. I have a Bachelor’s Degree from NC State. While at NC State I completed student internships in Kindergarten, 1st, and 4th grade and 1st was my favorite.

Along with pursuing my teaching career, I have also been working in childcare both in homes and in a center ever since I was a teenager. I am passionate about children!

I believe every child has the ability to succeed and do great things! It is my goal to be the teacher that believes in them, helps them grow, and loves them unconditionally! I love to be outdoors, listen to music, and find new restaurants to try! I’m always looking for a special treat or delicious meal.
