Kindergarten Teacher Rebecca Strickland

  • Strickland

I graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, near Pittsburgh in the spring of 2002.  I moved to North Carolina, one of my favorite places, to ignite my teaching passion.  In the Fall of 2002, I started my teaching career in Franklin County, teaching kindergarten.  Kindergarten, instantly became the age group I loved to teach. Kindergarteners show so much growth and to be able to set the foundation for learning is an awesome experience.  I have a family of three.  My husband is a gym teacher at Carver Elementary, so the love for teaching is in our family’s blood.  I have two beautiful children who are also my passion! I hope this quote touches the lives of all my students I teach:  A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite imagination, and instill the love of learning~ Brad Henry
