Mrs. Jewelyn Dunn

I was born in Raleigh, but I spent the last 10 years in Greensboro, working in the Guilford County School System. I have been teaching in the classroom for 10 years, but I have been teaching music since at least the 9th grade.

I am an aspiring massage therapist. I am also a youth worker in my church and internationally with The Lott Carey Foreign Missions Convention. I have two brothers, one sister and one sister-in-law. I am aunt to two nephews and a brand new niece! My mother and father are very supportive of me also. My mother is an only child, but my father is one of ten children so I have a very large family!

I grew up in WCPSS, received my BA in Vocal Performance from Shaw University, and my teaching certificate from Meredith College. I am looking forward to getting my masters in Music Education beginning in the next few years. I love working with children and being able to share my passion for music with them!

I am excited about our magnet theme, Environmental and Community Connections because...

We can all learn more about what happens in our environment and how to care for it.

One way we will be embracing our magnet theme in music class...

We will be learning about the environment and how to care for it through music
