Please note that if a student's application is accepted, they will be re-assigned to their new school and their former school assignment will be relinquished. Students will not have an opportunity to decline their new assignment. There is no guarantee that students will be able to return to their previous school.
Wait lists are maintained for the each of our application rounds for students who were not seated in their first choice school. Students are placed on a wait list for their first choice only. Staff will review the wait lists two times before the start of the 2013-14 school year. The first review will be in Mid-April with updated selection results posted to parent online accounts April 22. The second review will be held in Mid-June with updated selection results posted to parent online accounts June 24. All wait lists will be dissolved after the second round of wait list processing.
Magnet wait lists will be processed first. If a student is seated from the magnet wait list and is on another wait list (calendar or transfer), they will be removed from the remaining wait lists. Calendar wait lists will be processed second. If a student is seated from the calendar wait list and is on a transfer wait list, they will be removed from the transfer wait list. If a student remains on a magnet wait list, that wait list position will be retained. Transfer wait lists will be processed third. If a student is seated from the transfer wait list, they will be able to retain their wait list position for the magnet or calendar wait lists.
Families can remove their student from the wait list at any time by logging back in to their parent account. Any applicant still on the wait list will be considered for a seat when staff processes the wait lists.
