School bus safety is a high priority in the Wake County Public School System. Students, parents, teachers, administrators, transportation personnel and the motoring public all play important roles in keeping Wake County's students safe while on or around the school bus.
The instructional staff at each school provides a continuing, well planned and effective unit on school bus safety at each grade level. The programs are designed to develop the habits, attitudes, skills and knowledge that are vital to the safe and efficient use of the school bus.
