School-Level Disciplinary Hearing
Note: The principal must be notified two days in advance of a school-based hearing if the student is to be represented by an advocate or legal counsel.
Participants should arrive 5-10 minutes prior to scheduled hearing
Present in the school-based hearing:
- Student Due Process Hearing Officer
- The Hearing Panel
- School Administrator(s)
- Student and Parent(s)
- Student Advocate (when applicable)
- Attorneys for all parties when applicable
The Student Due Process Officer will meet with the panel prior to the hearing. When the hearing begins all other parties, except witnesses, will enter the hearing room.

Note: A series of questions from the school, student and panel will follow any witness testimony.
The school will notify the parent by phone of the final decision.
