Principals Weekly Message for Week of April 16
Hello Davis Drive Elementary School families. This is the weekly message for the week of April 16. 2017. We hope that you and your family enjoyed the week away from school. A break can be refreshing. As we return to school we will focus on learning and teaching as our primary focus. Of course there are many exciting days ahead for our students. As we look ahead to the end of the school year, we remind everyone that end of grade tests and assessments will be held soon. We want our students to do their very best on the assessments, but we also realize that there is more to school than testing. The important thing is that we approach testing with a balanced approach of focusing on learning and applying our learning to tests.
As we return to school, it will be important for our students to arrive at school on time each day. If students are late for school, we ask that parents accompany their children to sign in at the office. This will become even more important as our school system is planning to install buzz in systems in all schools. We ask that parents follow carpool procedures and if waiting in carpool, do not leave your car unattended and do not block handicap designated parking spaces.
We truly appreciate the support that our wonderful PTA provides our school. We have an excellent school community and we truly appreciate the support from all of our families.
