National Bullying Prevention Month
October is National Bullying Prevention Month. And DDMS has pledged to support our students and create a bully-free environment.
This month, students will:
- use the morning announcements to raise awareness
- read and sign the 'Stand Up, Speak Out, Be A Hero' Pledge
- sign a 'Be a Hero' poster to show support for their homeroom
- support Unity Day on October 25 - everyone is encouraged to wear orange!
Report Bullying Incident
There is a form available on our website to report an incident - it can be found at Students > Bullying Form. Incidences should be reported to a teacher, counselor or administrator.
Stand Up, Speak Out, Be a Hero Pledge
This is for me
my friends today
And my friends tomorrow.
I won't watch someone get picked on
Because I am a do something person
not a do nothing person.
I can help change things
I can be a leader
In my world there are no bullies allowed.
I know sticking up for someone is the right thing to do.
