Wake County high schools score high marks nationally

Several Wake County high schools fared well in two recent national rankings.
Green Hope High ranked 12th in the state and No. 336 nationally in U.S. News & World Report's annual ranking of the country's best high schools. The magazine analyzed state test scores, graduation rates and college readiness among 21,000 high schools.
Green Hope was honored with a gold medal. Wake Early College of Health and Science and Wake STEM Early College received bronze medals.
In The Washington Post's ranking of Most Challenging High Schools, Enloe High School was 7th in the state and 288th nationally.
Green Hope High School came in 13th in North Carolina and 435th nationally.
Panther Creek High School came in 22nd in the state and 684th nationally.
The Post analyzed 22,000 high schools and the proportion of students who took advanced classes.
