Course Registration for 2017-18

During the months of February and March, rising 9-12th graders will be completing the course registration process for the 2017-18 school year.  Below are some important resources and dates that will help you to navigate this process.  All materials and information related to this process are available to you at this link.
  • February 1-10:  Course Applications Submitted.  There are several courses that require an application for students to sign up for the course.  They include:  Early Childhood I / II, PE Leadership, Lifetime Sports II, Health Science Advanced Studies, Yearbook, PEPI I / II, Sports Medicine I-IV.  Applications are due February 10.  They can be picked up and turned in at the Student Services Office.
  • Last Weeks of February: Junior Conferences.  Counselors will be meeting with juniors in small groups during the month of February to discuss course selections and to ensure that they are on track for both the needs and opportunities of the senior year.  See your counselor for more information.

  • February 27 - March 10: Course Selections:  Counselors will be visiting second period classes during this time to talk with students about registration for classes.  Students will choose their classes during this session.  This will be done on paper, not in PowerSchool.  It is important for all students to know what they want to select by this time.  Copies of the course selection sheets are available on the resource site linked above.
  • Month of March:  Review of Course Selections.  Counselors will be reviewing each student's course selections for 2017-18.  They will reach out to the student / parent with questions or concerns.
  • March 27: Confirmation of Course Selections.  Students will receive a confirmation of their course selections showing what has been entered into PowerSchool.
As we go through the course registration process, it is our priority to make sure that each individual student's course selections are targeted to make sure that we are making the most of the opportunities in the upcoming school year.  Please see your counselor with questions about this process.
