Friday, April 7th

Thank you to all of the parents who chaperoned the 7th and 8th grade field trips. I know the 7th grade had a wonderful time and, based on the pictures I have seen, the 8th grade trip was a blast. Your help makes these types of learning experiences possible.

Current 6th and 7th grade students have received registration information through Social Studies classes. They should bring home an elective choice form and teacher recommendations for core classes. Registration through PowerSchool will begin next week through Moore Time. You can find detailed information about registration in the folder link on the Moore Square webpage. If you have questions, please contact your child's counselor.

Intramural basketball will take place on Tuesday and soccer will be on Wednesday. The National Junior Honor Society will have a meeting during lunch on Thursday. As a reminder, Moore Square will be closed for students and staff on Friday.

We have reached the time of year where I make my annual plea for support with end of year testing. We are asking for donations of blank paper, number two pencils, triple A batteries and tissue. Any donations can be dropped off at the front office. We will also be asking for volunteers to serve as proctors during the weeks of May 15th and May 22nd. More information about proctoring will be sent home in coming weeks.

Please note that the gate on Bloodworth Street is now locked. Parents, please drop your students off on Davie Street in the morning as opposed to dropping off on Bloodworth.

We would also like to remind parents that if you need to get a message to your child during the school day to please call the front office. We know that texting a message to your child is quick, but it is a disruption to the learning environment and distracts you student from instruction. Additionally, students are only to use their devices during the day for educational purposes, with the permission of the teacher. We appreciate your support in maintaining a focused learning environment.

Ms. Meyers will host an EF Tours trip to Paris, Normandy and London next year during March Track Out. An informational meeting is being held on April 12th in the library at 2:40 and again at 6:00. Come out and learn more about this great travel opportunity. If you cannot make it and want more information on the trip please email Mrs. Meyers at
