Friday, March 3rd

Ms. Henderson will have tutoring for Math 1 students on Monday and 6+ students on Wednesday after school from 2:20-4:00 in her classroom, room 3311.


The Quidditch Club meets on Tuesday. Garden Club meets on Wednesday. Both club meetings are after school. The National Junior Honor Society will meet on Thursday during lunch.


The Ligon/Moore Square Softball team will travel to Carroll on Monday for a 4pm game. Boys’ soccer will travel to East Garner on Wednesday for a 4pm game.


ROAR Week will be March 6th -10th. Monday and Tuesday will be music in the cafeteria; Wednesday we will have Karaoke, Thursday will be Subway lunch and Friday will be the ROAR Store. The Subway lunch will be a raffle and students can put in as many ROAR Cards as they like (make sure you write your first and last name on the card) and we will draw 10 names for each lunch period and walk to Subway. The raffle will begin Wednesday, March 1st and names will be drawn on Tuesday, March 7th after lunches. Students whose names are drawn will need to make sure to bring money to buy their Subway.

 

The ROAR Store will be opened for business on Friday, March 10th. If you would like to donate items or volunteer at the store contact Mrs. Estes. You can also sign up online. You can find the sign up on Moore Square's website under M2 Announcements.


Congratulations to Mr. Hunter the Odyssey of the Mind team on a strong performance on Saturday at competition. Both teams finished in 4th place. Thank you to the parents who volunteered countless hours over the year helping the teams prepare for competition.


Thank you to all of the parents who chaperoned the 6th grade trip to Medieval Times, Wonderworks and the Aquarium on Friday, The students had a wonderful time and experiences like this would not be possible without the help of our parent volunteers.


CW22 and My RDC presents Girls World Expo 2017! This one-day, fun-filled event combines education and participation to help girls 11-18 imagine, believe in, and shape their futures. In workshops, seminars, demonstrations, and displays, they explore different college and career choices with the help of mentors and experts in those fields, learn how to create a healthy body image by uncovering the facts about food and nutrition, unlock the secrets to staying safe online and in life, and hear success stories from local women leaders from all walks of life. Girls World Expo is a safe and upbeat event where girls can interact with one another and enjoy their shared interests!


The event will be on Sunday, April 23, 2017 | Noon – 4:00pm at the Embassy Suites by Hilton. Everyone must pre-register for the event at www.girlsworldexpo.com 


And finally, we would like to remind all families that we will have school on Monday and Tuesday, March 13th and 14th, as winter weather make up days.
