We would like to remind all families that Monday is a school day for Moore Square.
Congratulations to all of the student athletes who made the Ligon/Moore Square track and field, boys soccer and girls softball teams. We look forward to seeing you on the fields.
Thank you to all of the parents who helped in the art room over the past couple weeks with our artist in residence. The students worked diligently on the tapestries and they will look fabulous in the cafeteria. We also appreciate all of the parents who chaperoned the band and orchestra trip to the Duke Energy Center today. The students had a wonderful experience and we look forward to next week’s trip as well.
We will have our spring and 8th grade class pictures on Wednesday. All 8th graders will be part of the class picture. The spring pictures are pre-pay only. Students must have the order form or a note from home stating pictures were ordered online to be able to go to the media center to have their pictures taken. There is no make-up day for spring pictures. See a grade level teacher or stop by the front office if you need an order form.
Ms. Henderson will host Math 1 tutoring on Wednesday after school in her classroom from 2:20-4:00.
It's hard to believe that three short years have flown by and our 8th graders are preparing to make the next transition to high school! Eighth grade students will be learning about high school requirements and working on their high school course registration beginning next week. We will also provide a parent session to review high school graduation requirements, opportunities and course registration on Thursday, March 2 at 5:30 in the Moore Square media center. If you have questions please contact Mrs. DePinto at email@example.com or 919-664-5744.
7th grade parents and students, it is not too late to sign up for the March 13th trip to Wilmington and Fort Fisher. You can still pay online or at school. See Ms. Dawson for payment.
PTSA is currently recruiting Officers for the 2017-2018 school year. Serving in a leadership position at Moore Square is a great way to be involved in your child's school. If you are interested please visit the website and fill out the interest form. You can find it under the announcements on the front page or on the PTSA page under the Parents tab.
The Quiddich Club and the 6th grade Coding Club meet on Tuesday as will intramural basketball. Intramural badminton meets on Wednesday. Our Battle of the Books team will be at the Wake County Public Schools competition on Saturday. Be sure to wish all members the best of luck in their competition.
