Wakefield Campus Parents,
Because we want to keep you informed, we want you to be aware of an incident that occurred yesterday.
At approximately 6:20 a.m. on October 11, a 16-year old female told school leaders she was attacked in the tree line area near Wakefield Middle School at 2300 Wakefield Pines Drive. The suspect chased the victim and attempted to sexually assault her. The suspect was last seen fleeing on foot after the attempted assault.
The suspect is described as a heavy set, stocky, black male in his 30s. He was wearing a black hoodie sweatshirt and black and white sneakers. He has a mole on the right side of his face.
Investigation is ongoing; more information will be made available as the case progresses.
