Interim Principal's Message

Monday, March 6, 2017
Congratulations to Centennial for being recognized by the Magnet Schools of America for winning the merit award for School of Excellence.  Wake County had 12 schools of excellence and 15 schools of distinction.  This is truly an award to be proud of!
Thank you to all students participating in Pieces of Gold this Wednesday night.  Your positive talent will help showcase the importance of the arts program at our school to the entire county!  We appreciate Ms. Dressel for her dedication to make this event possible for our students.
The Family Summit will be held this Thursday, March 9, from 6:30-8:00 pm at school.  Please sign up by going to the CCMMS PTSA tab on the school website - click family summit and then click on the link.  Dinner will be provided for all participants.  The Poe Center for Health Education will lead an interactive workshop on the topic of bullying and drugs and alcohol in middle school.  The Career Development Specialist for Centennial will also lead a conversation about looking ahead into our children's future and choosing a career.
This is a reminder that Monday and Tuesday, March 13 and 14 are make up days.  Spring Break will begin on Wednesday, March 15 and will go through Friday, March 24.
Students are reminded that they cannot sell anything at school.  It seems there are some students who are bringing candy to school and have willing buyers.  Please communicate with your child about this problem.  We are addressing the issues when we are made aware of them.
Thank you for your continued support of Centennial!
