Principal's Weekly Message 4-16
We hope everyone has found some rest on this past week’s break. We look forward to welcoming our school family back tomorrow, Monday. These last eight weeks will be full of learning as well as assessments will happen to note growth for the year. Every day will count with attendance.
This week is our Heritage Parade, set for the Wednesday the 19th. Please consider participating with your child on this special occasion. We also sent home our quilt squares the week before break. We ask that all families create and design something visual that represents and celebrates your family. We look forward to seeing our connections and the larger quilt we make together as a school family. If you are interested in participating or helping with our quilt in anyway, please reach out to our magnet coordinator, Dominique Orr.
This Thursday is our Spring Concert. Our second grade will perform. The third graders will show off their recorder skills and the Gold Choir will also share their song. The PTA General Meeting is scheduled at 6:30 and the performance begins at 6:45 under the overhang.
Finally, it is time again to provide parents with the opportunity to offer input into class placement for next year. This blue form can be picked up in the office starting Monday and returned to the office by May 8th.
Thank you for your support of Joyner Elementary School and have a great week!
