Wake County breaks ground at Garner High
Wake
County leaders broke ground for the new four-story classroom building for
Garner Magnet High on June 2. About three-fourths of the school will be new
construction and the rest will be renovated. While a number of old buildings
will be demolished, the school footprint will remain in the same location it is
now. Staff and students will move to swing space in the new South Garner High
campus for the next two years. Then in August 2018, Garner students will return
to a newly improved campus and South Garner High will open with its own
students. Ratio Architects designed the school being built by Balfour Beatty
Construction Company.
