    Math 6:

This week we will begin our last unit on Statistics. Students will learn about what makes a good statistical question. Then we will spend a few days learning how to calculate the mean, median, mode, and range of a data set. Students will take a quiz on mean, median, mode, and range on Wednesday. Towards the end of the week, we will begin learning how to create a box and whisker plot.

    Math 7:

This week students will begin the last unit on 3-Dimensional geomtery. We will begin the week reviewing geometry terms such as faces, vertices, edges, and nets, and matching nets to 3-D shapes.  Then we will spend the rest of the week reviewing how to calculate surface area of different 3-D shapes.

    Math 8:

This week we will quickly finish up the unit on linear equations. The Linear Equation quiz from last week was moved to this Tuesday, as students needed more time to practice this skill. Then we will move on to the unit on Scatterplots and Two-way tables. Students will learn how to create a scatterplot, read a scatterplot, and create a line of best fit in order to make predictions.
