Celebration of Success: State Superintendent Mike Ward hands out banners to 49 Wake County Schools of Excellence during a special celebration held at the RBC Center.
Exceptional Employees: As the ESL teacher at Cary Elementary School, Nancy Claggett helps students who speak more than 15 different languages adjust to a new country and a new way of communicating.
Superintendent of the Year: The Wake County Public School System recently received a tremendous honor when it was announced that Superintendent Bill McNeal had been named the 2004 Superintendent of the Year for the state of North Carolina.
Goal 2008: The Wake County Board of Education approves a challenging new goal for the school system.
Automatic External Defibrillators: Thanks to a donation from Wake Med, automatic external defibrillators, capable of jump-starting a failing heart, can be found in every middle and high school throughout Wake County.
Apex-Meredith Partnership: A unique partnership formed between Apex Elementary School and Meredith College is working to improve education for the students and teachers at both schools.
Student Performance: Ligon Middle School's Tappers in Tapestry perform under the guidance of NC Dance Teacher of the Year nominee Freddie Lee Heath.
Artwork: Students from Underwood Elementary School share their artwork.
The Answer Man: Jeff Nash shares information about inclement weather decisions.
Parent Tips: Liza Weidle gives tips on ways to survive the cold and flu season.
