Morning Meetings at Brooks Elementary: Students and staff at Brooks Museums Magnet Elementary School start each school day with a morning meeting. See how this four-part meeting helps get the day started out right.

Magnet Fair: Parents and students will have the opportunity to find out about the school system’s magnet programs during the annual Magnet Schools Fair.

Capital Improvement Program: In November, Wake County voters will decide whether or not to approve a bond referendum to help fund the school system’s newest capital improvement program. The capital improvement program will help the system provide space for the thousands of additional children who will be moving into Wake County through 2010.

Answer Man: Wake County’s favorite Answer Man, Jeff Nash, provides an update on the Miracle League.

Technology Grant Gets Durant Students Walking: Students at Durant Road Elementary School are getting some exercise while learning more the great state of North Carolina thanks, in part, to a Hewlett Packard technology grant.

Transitioning to the Year-Round Calendar: To help provide even more space for students the board of education recently approved the transition of 19 elementary schools and 3 middle schools to the multi-track year-round calendar.
