You can watch the following segments from The School Connection by clicking on each link (you will need the free QuickTime Player from Apple):

Growth in Wake County and WCPSS: Wake County has become the fastest growing county in North Carolina, adding about 22,000 people annually. As the county's population continues to grow, so does the school system's student population.

The Impact Growth is Having on WCPSS: Wake County, Raleigh and the school system are constantly included in "Best Of" lists across the United States. The notoriety is great, but it does cause challenges trying to make room for all the new students moving into our district.

Student Assignment: As the school system opens new schools to create more space, it means that new student assignment plans must also be created to fill these schools. Jeff Nash, Wake County's Answer Man, finds out more about next year's student assignment plan.

Year-Round Schools: Next year, we will be opening five new multi-track, year-round elementary schools to make more room for students while keeping our construction costs as low as possible. So, what exactly is a multi-track year-round school?

Long Range Planning: Another 72,000 students are projected to enroll in our schools by the year 2015, so what is the school system going to do as we look toward the future?
