Before the Event
- Assign people to various positions
Site Preparation (morning before the event begins)
Orientation Session
- Gather all Climate Control Volunteers in room 7.
- Orientation session can start as early as X:XX, and must be over by X:XX.
- Explain what Xtreme Beginnings is and how Climate Control enhances the event.
- Tell participants what to expect from the students
- Assign adults to monitor exits, elevators, lobby, etc.
- Assign JROTC students to monitor exits, elevators, lobby, etc.
During Event
- Greet all who enter the building for Xtreme Beginnings and direct them to appropriate registration area.
- Monitor movement/behavior of students throughout the day
- Keep students on task (quiet) during opening session - all CDCs
- Keep students on task in Higher Education room
- Keep students from entering main room early for the closing session
- Keep students on task (quiet) during closing session - all CDCs
- Ask adults to help whenever/if you see a need for assistance with student(s)
- Keep students focused during opening and closing sessions
After Event
