Xtreme Beginnings 2007

Xtreme Beginnings - April 12, 2007

Xtreme Beginnings is a career exploration event for tenth-, eleventh-, and twelfth-grade students. About 600 students participated this year.

The seventh-annual Xtreme Beginnings was held at the Jane S. McKimmon Center on Western Blvd. in Raleigh, NC, on Thursday, April 12, 2007, from approximately 9:15 AM to 12:00 PM.


The Xtreme Planning Guide has committee duties and reports for Xtreme Beginnings planning.

Student Documents

Xtreme Beginnings brochure (PDF 472 Kb).
This brochure lists all of the activities, and allows students to sign up for the sessions they wish to attend.

Download a copy of the Student Registration form. (Excel 36 Kb) This is the form to list the students that will attend from your school and list their activity selections.

Xtreme Career Planning Guide is given to each student who attends Xtreme Beginnings. The guide has information about the roundtable discussions, suggested questions to ask the career models, job interviewing tips, job interview questions, practice job interview rating sheet, job application tips, cover letter tips, JobLink Career Center information, military information, and an Xtreme plan of action to help the student reflect on all that was learned at Xtreme Beginnings.(This document is not yet available)
