All Month Long February 2008 |
Career and Technical Education Month
CTE (Career and Technical Education) Month will be celebrated during February 2008.
CTE Month will kick off with Groundhog Job Shadow Day on Friday, February 1, 2008. Job shadowing is an academically motivating activity designed to give children the unique opportunity of an up-close look at the world of work and provide the answer to the commonly asked question, "Why do I have to learn this?"
Forty of our advanced Health Occupations students from five high schools toured the Naval Hospital at Camp Lejeune on February 7.
CTE Month will conclude with National Entrepreneurship Week, which will be celebrated February 23 to March 1. All who wish to participate are encouraged to begin planning with the Consortium for Entrepreneurship Education. The focus of this celebration includes the importance of entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurs.
