Career and Technical Education Month
CTE (Career and Technical Education) Month will be celebrated during February 2009.
CTE Month will kick off with Groundhog Job Shadow Day on Friday, February 2, 2009. Job shadowing is an academically motivating activity designed to give children the unique opportunity of an up-close look at the world of work and provide the answer to the commonly asked question, "Why do I have to learn this?"
February 15-22 is Engineers Week. Progress Energy is coordinating the local effort.
CTE Month will conclude with National Entrepreneurship Week, which will be celebrated February 21 to 28. All who wish to participate are encouraged to begin planning with the Consortium for Entrepreneurship Education. The focus of this celebration includes the importance of entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurs.

Wake County CTE videos - are videos of our students talking about our CTE programs. Play them in your school to promote CTE.
CTE Week banner (PDF 1.3 MB) - is a smaller version of the banner that each school displays during CTE Month.
WCPSS CTE logos - should be used to promote CTE Month.
