Certification

Most people who become a CDC are required to take the CDF (Career Development Facilitator) course. The NC Department of Public Instruction has the final say in certification.

Courier Mail

Courier mail is mail that is sent between two WCPSS locations. This is a handy way to send things to other schools or to the central office.

School-to-Career Funds

School-to-Career funds can be used for:

Field trips
- activity bus, charter bus
- parking fees
- registration fees
- substitute teachers for teacher chaperones
CDC travel
- regular CDC meetings
- visiting student interns, job shadows, apprentices, etc.
- business alliance travel
- CTE Postassessment Administration training, pickup, and delivery
Equipment for your School-to-Career program
Printing
Career Fairs
- table and chair rental
Conferences
- registration
- hotel
- meals (this is the only place where food can be paid for)
- travel

School-to-Career funds can NOT be used for:

Furniture
gifts
food
textbooks
postage (stamps)
travel for Dept Chair meetings
non-STC school-related travel

To request the use of STC funds, follow the procedures for spending CTE funds.

Forms

If there is a signature on the form, then you must submit the original form (the paper that was actually signed). We cannot accept photocopies, faxes, or e-mail attachments.

The exception to this is the CTE Request for Prior Approval form, which may be faxed.
