Chris' thoughts -
The automotive industry says that we need more "Auto Technicians." What can we do in public education to help the industry?
It's no longer a dirty job, or at least it doesn't have to be. The auto technicians need to be smart. They need to be able to use a computer and solve complex problems. They also make very good money.
We need to change the perception of auto technicians. Many parents will steer their children away from these kinds of jobs because they want their child to get a "real" job. Well, these jobs are about as real as it gets.
If you love what you do, and have the potential to earn over $100,000 per year in a job that's in high demand, what's the problem?
