Description

Harris Creek Elementary opened in 2005 as a modular school and moved into a state-of-the-art facility in 2006. Our mission is to work as a community to provide a positive, challenging learning environment that will educate all students to become responsible and productive citizens in a changing world.

Teachers focus on the individual child seeking to develop and challenge each one academically. The staff works to create a learning environment where students are empowered to take risks and become responsible learners. Teachers value diversity and respect the unique qualities of the Harris Creek student population.

Harris Creek Elementary focuses on student growth and has been recognized as a NC School of Distinction. Teachers use research based practices that encourage students’ growth in all academic areas. Teachers focus on developing students’ skills for the 21st Century. High achievement is a priority at Harris Creek.

Parents are encouraged to volunteer and participate in school activities. We feel that parent participation encourages students’ development and sends a strong message that education is important. We welcome parents to our campus.
