Description

Heritage High School- Where Students Learn, Professionals Grow and Communities Partner

Heritage High School is located in Wake Forest and is Wake County’s newest comprehensive 9-12 high school. The school opened in 2010 with ninth and tenth graders and has added a grade each year. In 2013, we will produce our first graduates.

Heritage High is proud to boast its smaller student population. A new school with a smaller student body provides students and parents with focused attention. Our curriculum includes a wide variety of options, including Advanced Placement, Dual Enrollment, Marketing and Gaming programs, Internships and more. Through many student opportunities in and outside the classroom, we seek to produce graduates who are marked by their ability to exercise 21st Century Skills to impact their world.

Preparing students to be career and college ready, our teachers are focused on student use of technology, differentiated instruction and rigor. We monitor student grades weekly and provide embedded support for them to be successful. In a short time, we have built strong Husky Pride through numerous clubs, honor societies, athletics, Business Alliance and other school-community partnerships. As we grow, we will continue to add academic support options and extracurricular opportunities for students, as well as engage the community to provide a uniquely authentic education for all students in the Husky family.
