Description

East Wake School of Integrated Technology is a small redesigned learning community located on the East Wake Campus. East Wake School of Integrated Technology has a core curriculum that focuses on college readiness with additional career clusters that allow students to take classes in Business, Technology and Entrepreneurship.

East Wake School Of integrated Technology’s motto is “Learning today, Leading tomorrow”. To help prepare our students become future leaders in the fields of business and technology East Wake School of Intergraded Technology has three major emphasizes:

Quality Learning & Teaching- All teachers implement a common instructional framework based on best practices to ensure a coherent and consistent learning experience. Teachers utilize a common set of best practices and strategies school wide. (Understanding by Design, Individualized Instruction. A focus on literacy and critical thinking are emphasized across content and grade levels, to help students attain 21st century skills.

College Readiness- EWSIT has a pervasive and consistent focus on preparing all students for college. Every student is afforded the opportunity to take AP courses and other college level courses through Virtual High School and dual enrollment with Wake Tech Community College. College and on-line courses allow for students academic acceleration. Furthermore, all students and families are provided support with college admission and the financial aid process.

Personalization- EWSIT students receive various forms of academic support during and beyond the regular class period. In effort to promote academic excellence, weekly enrichment advisories, personalized education plans, teacher offered office hours and other school wide strategies are provided to students. Every student is assigned a teacher-advisor that provides consistent guidance and support for emotional, social and academic needs. Celebrating and recognizing student success is culturally embedded within EWSIT.
