York’s staff takes pride in creating a warm, inviting and orderly learning environment. All students are encouraged to develop their unique talents and skills academically as well as creatively. Each student is challenged on a daily basis to perform up to his/her potential. While whole group instruction is utilized, a strong emphasis is placed on small group and individualized instruction.
The administrators and teachers at York Elementary are highly qualified individuals who are dedicated to continuous improvement and professional development. Staff members work collaboratively to implement an integrated instructional program to meet the diverse needs of our students.
Parents play a vital role in the success of York Elementary. Throughout the year there are many opportunities for parents to be actively involved. We strongly encourage parents to become involved by volunteering in the classroom and joining the PTA.
