Description

Sanderson High School is a cultivating learning environment that values students, families, and community. Sanderson is continually committed to providing academic rigor, challenge, intervention, and enrichment. Through differentiation, SMART (Students Maximizing Achievement through Relationships and Time) Lunch, and specialized courses, students experience a tailored education in order to meet individual needs. The Spartan community promotes life-long learning amongst students, parents, and teachers. Many of our teachers have advanced degrees, serve as leaders in community organizations, and are Nationally Board Certified. The outstanding collective experiences of our staff contribute to a high level of dedication and ardor. The community at Sanderson is rich in culture, background, and perspective. Current enrollment is over 2000; however, our students are not numbers; our students are our focus. The greatest level of accomplishment is the success and achievement of our students.

We are a high performing School of Distinction. The school has been recognized for both high levels of growth and proficiency on student End-of-Course exams. One method that Sanderson utilizes for in-class intervention is through a computer-based program called Success Maker. This student focused program engages the learner by promoting literacy and mathematical development. We also offer a host of Advanced Placement courses to challenge and stimulate our accelerated student population.

Sanderson offers a wide variety of course selections, including a dynamic Paideia program. Our extra-curricular activities, clubs, programs, and athletics strive to furnish students with healthy intellectual and social stimulation beyond the classroom environment. The Sanderson Student Council, National Honor Society, and Key Club regularly commit to community service for the empowerment of the school and surrounding community. The Spartan Anti-Bullying Program reflects the awareness and inclusive community we strive to provide all students. The Sanderson PTSA is a strong advocate for our students, staff, and school. The fervor of our community is exceptional. Our community of parents, staff, and leaders seek to prepare a culture of academic, innovative, and philanthropic student citizens. The Sanderson Spartan Community is a family.
