Description

Leesville Road Elementary (LES) opened in August 1992 as the elementary school portion of the three-school Leesville complex. Originally designed for 650 students, enrollment has been as high as 1,020 during the ’95-’96 school year with 11 mobile units and during the 2002-2003 school year as low as 690 students with 1 mobile unit. Leesville Road Elementary 2003-2004 school year will open with approximately 750 students and 4 mobile units.

Leesville Road Elementary School is known for fostering a sense of family among the staff, students, and parents. As the staff welcomes the continued parental involvement and support; teachers are able to apply teaching styles, which are adapted to meet the needs of students’ various learning styles. With such support, LES has maintained an above 90 percentile average since 2001. Leesville Road Elementary has been noted for being a School of Excellence during the 2001-2002 and 2002-2003 school year. LES is the foundation, which provides the building blocks for developing each child’s intrinsic love of learning.

Take the I-440/Beltline to US 70 West. Turn onto US 70 West and go to Creedmoor Road (NC 50). Turn right onto Creedmoor Road. Go to Millbrook Road. Turn left onto Millbrook Road. Go to Leesville Road. Turn right onto Leesville Road. Go approximately 2 miles. Schools are on the left. Turn left at O'Neal Road onto campus.
