At Knightdale Elementary every child can learn and grow through collaboration, challenging curriculum and community support. We prepare all learners to be successful in the 21st century. Our challenging learning environment encourages high expectations for success through developmentally appropriate instruction that allows for individual differences and learning styles. Our school promotes a safe, orderly, caring, and supportive environment. Knightdale Elementary students and staff develop positive relationships that foster students’ self-esteem. We encourage our parents, teachers, and community members to be active partners in our students’ learning.

Knightdale Elementary School teachers collaborate within, as well as across, grade levels to provide an educational program that challenges all students. The instructional staff is comprised of dedicated educators who utilize best practices for student success, with a major emphasis on core academic instruction. Our teachers are committed to ongoing staff development that equips them to use innovative and engaging teaching strategies. Knightdale’s staff realizes that motivating each child to build on his or her strengths promotes academic success.

Knightdale Elementary School students have the opportunity to be instructed in technology, science, art, music and physical education on weekly bases. Technology is a vital component of the integrated curriculum taught at Knightdale Elementary. Each and every classroom is equipped with four computers and a SMART board to enhance and support the curriculum with research, problem solving, group work, and writing.

A large before and after school daycare program, supervised by our staff is available for the convenience of our parents. We welcome the opportunity to help students grow in all areas of their day.
