Harris Creek Elementary opened in 2005 as a modular school and moved into a state-of-the-art facility in 2006. Our mission is to work as a community to provide a positive, challenging learning environment that will educate all students to become responsible and productive citizens in a changing world.
Teachers focus on the individual child seeking to develop and challenge each one academically. The staff works to create a learning environment where students are empowered to take risks and become responsible learners. Teachers value diversity and respect the unique qualities of the Harris Creek student population.
Harris Creek Elementary focuses on student growth and has been recognized as a NC School of Distinction. Teachers use research based practices that encourage students' growth in all academic areas. Teachers focus on developing students' skills for the 21st Century. High achievement is a priority at Harris Creek.
Parents are encouraged to volunteer and participate in school activities. We feel that parent participation encourages students' development and sends a strong message that education is important. We welcome parents to our campus.

Important: Bus routes are subject to change based on actual student distribution, parent appeals, and other factors. The information here will be updated regularly, but updates may take several days to be reflected online. This route information last updated: 8:51 AM, Thu, Nov 20, 2014.
Stop times: Parents can anticipate a stop time based on the route start time, estimating 3 minutes between stops for neighborhood routes and 10 minutes for express routes. The exact stop time will vary during the first weeks of school. Students should be ready and waiting for the bus at least 10 minutes before the bus is expected to arrive.
Bus schedules: We urge parents to be patient as routes settle during the first few weeks of school. With students becoming familiar with this new routine, bus routes may take more time.
Faded Stops: Stops in faded text are on the route, but do not pick up or drop off students attending this school.
Questions?: Contact Transportation.
Can't find your bus stop?: If you cannot find your child's bus stop, please fill out our customer support form to report a missing bus stop.
