Description

We love our students and parents at Holly Ridge Elementary School!

Our parents and students care about each other and collaboratively work with our staff to create a warm and nurturing environment for our students. We welcome our many volunteers who help us work with students and serve on our numerous PTA committees. Our volunteers support us by providing added instructional support to students and by sharing their many talents and areas of expertise. By working together we are able to provide our students with a depth of learning and caring that makes our students valuable members of the Holly Ridge Community.

We value the diversity that makes up our school community. Learning about others makes us understand the changing world we live in. During our annual Cultural Arts Night, our staff and some families showcase countries and cultures they have experienced so that we can gain a deeper understanding of each other. Holly Ridge Elementary has committed to offering Spanish to all kindergarten through fifth grade students as a regular part of our school program. Cultural diversity is also highlighted in our Before and After School Care Program. Our student have learned cultural dances, customs, tasted foods from around the world, and have learned that working together and excepting others’ ideas makes us stronger.

Our teachers and support staff are some of the hardest working individuals in the county. They work collaboratively to provide in depth, differentiated, rigorous instruction needed for all our students to learn. They understand what is needed to prepare our students for the 21st century so they work together to make sure these opportunities are mirrored in their daily plans. The Holly Ridge Elementary staff has high expectations of themselves and their students. Success for all students is our goal!
