Description
River Bend Elementary is a multi-track year round school located in northeast Raleigh. The school has a highly qualified cadre of teachers and support staff. The school’s major goal is ensuring that all students are provided with an instructional program that will prepare them for the 21st century.
As staff members work to achieve this goal, they meet in Professional Learning Teams (PLTs) to align math, reading, science and other academic subject areas in order to provide a seamless K-5 curriculum. Staff members strive for continuous improvement daily as they work with the diverse population of students. They extend their learning through participation in Wake County staff development and other training opportunities.
River Bend Elementary has continued to make academic gains with students in the school as demonstrated through End-of-Grade Test Scores. The school has consistently made its Expected and High Growth targets; thus, designated as a Wake County Public School System Regional Choice School.
