The Purchasing Department shall establish and maintain a central receiving function for all supplies, materials, and equipment as appropriate. Receiving personnel shall be responsible for receiving and inspecting items delivered and for entering an actual count of the quantity delivered on the receiving document. Central receiving personnel shall be responsible for acting on deficiency and complaint reports.
