CLASSIFICATION,
FEE SCHEDULE, PROCEDURES AND GUIDELINES FOR FACILITY USE |

|
In general, approval of requests
for the use of school facilities as covered in Levels 1-3, shall be guided by
the following considerations: |

|
|
Wake County Public School System activities have
first priority. Other use will be promoted and encouraged as long as the user
meets maintenance, safety, and user guidelines. |
|||
|
|
|
|||
|
7410.1 |
Each request for use of a school facility shall be
classified per fee structure and priority order as to one of the following
categories: education, child-focused
programs/activities, adult programs/activities, other program activities, or
Level 4 joint use agreement (JUA) designated fields/outdoor facilities. |

|
7410.2 |
The Community Schools department will determine
fee structure annually for Levels 1-3 to ensure that the school system is, at
minimum, recovering costs. The fee schedule will be provided to all school
principals and made available to the public.

7410.3 |
Procedure for applying for facility use: |
|||
|
|
A. |
The Superintendent shall have prepared and provided
to principals a standard application form, titled Facility Use Application,
Form 2900, for the use of school facilities. A completed Facility Use
Application, Form 2900, shall be submitted to the principal of the
facility being requested a minimum of 30 business days prior to requested use
of the facility. |

B. |
Requests for use of Level 4 JUA designated
fields/outdoor facilities shall be referred to the appropriate municipality. |
||
|
7410.4 |
Guidelines and Procedures for permitting non-site
based use of WCPSS facilities will be established by the Community Schools
department, provided to the principals and be made available to the public. |

|
All charges for use, Levels 1-3, must be paid to
WCPSS Community Schools no later than ten (10) business days prior to the
scheduled use of the facilities. |
|||
|
|
The Wake County Public School System can terminate
the agreement in its sole discretion if the school system determines that
laws are violated. |
