In an effort to make the most of instructional time,
the Wake County Board of Education has adopted a new policy to reduce
interruptions during regular classroom time. Students can learn best and
teachers can teach the best when instructional time is not interrupted by
P.A. announcements, unexpected visitors, or messages from the school’s main
office. |

We need your help as we work to give your child the
best possible learning experience. |

|
o You are always welcome to visit in
your child’s class or to eat lunch with your child. Please notify
__________________ the day before your visit or before school starts that day
so we will be expecting you. |
|
|
|
o Please
notify ______________ at least one day in advance (except in an emergency) if
you will need to pick up your child early for a doctor’s appointment or other
excused absence. By doing that, we can alert the teacher so your child can
leave the class at the appropriate time. |
|
|
|
o If you need to get a message to your
child during the school day, please call in the morning if at all possible so
the message can be delivered during the lunch period. If your message comes
into the office after lunch, it will be delivered to your child at the next
scheduled break in instruction (except in an emergency). |
